How Punch Rescue Integrates with STOPit Notify

While Punch Rescue provides a highly reliable wearable panic button and mesh infrastructure, the actual logic and communication of your emergency response is powered by a seamless integration with STOPit Notify by Lightspeed Systems.

Think of Punch Rescue as the physical trigger and STOPit Notify as the management engine. When a staff member presses their Rescue Card or Raft, the alert travels through the physical network to the backend, where STOPit Notify takes over to streamline emergency management and help your team make fast, confident decisions.

Here is how the integration manages different types of alerts:

Routing Level 1 Emergencies (Silent Alerts)

When a user triggers a Level 1 emergency (by pressing their Rescue Card three times), it is designed to be a silent request for internal help.

STOPit Notify handles this logic by specifically routing the alert only to designated internal responders, such as principals or nurses. To receive these notifications, users must be assigned the "UL1 / Internal Responder" role in the dashboard. This integration ensures help arrives without calling 911 or triggering building-wide alarms.

Routing Level 2 Emergencies (Total Crisis)

When a user triggers a Level 2 emergency (by pressing and holding their Rescue Card for 3+ seconds), STOPit Notify scales the response. The platform automatically triggers broader notifications to all staff members and initiates an automatic 911+ Concierge dispatch for police response.

Active Incident Management & Resolution

During an active emergency, internal responders use the mobile app to receive notifications, communicate with one another, and manage the situation. Once the crisis is handled, resolving the emergency within the app communicates back to your physical hardware, automatically resetting your Base Stations to their standard white-light "ready" mode.

Customization

Because the platforms are integrated, administrators have the flexibility to customize their emergency types by category directly within STOPit Notify.
