Regular testing is one of the most important operational habits your team can build. Punch Rescue makes it straightforward to verify your Rafts are working without triggering real emergency responses.
Alert Station Test Alert
To verify the Alert Station's alarm and strobe: log into app.punchrescue.com, go to Devices, and click the gear icon on the Alert Station row. Scroll to the red Test Alert section and click Test Alert. The Alert Station will activate its alarms and strobe lights locally — no staff notifications are sent and 911 is not called. Click Reset Alert when finished to return it to Ready Mode.
This test confirms the physical alarm hardware is functioning but does not test the Raft signal path.
System-wide Test Mode
Test Mode puts your Alert Station into a protected state where Raft emergency signals create only a local response. This is the right tool for verifying that Rafts can reach the Alert Station from all areas of your pool.
Go to the Test Mode page in the left sidebar. You can toggle individual Alert Stations or activate organization-wide Test Mode, which puts all Alert Stations into test state simultaneously for a 2-minute window. During this window, lifeguards can press or submerge their Rafts to trigger the local alarm and strobe response — no external notifications are sent and 911 is not called.
Reactivate Test Mode as needed if you require more than 2 minutes. Test activity during Test Mode is still logged in the dashboard and counts toward your compliance documentation.
