Getting Started with the Punch Rescue App

Getting Started with the Punch Rescue App

The Rescue Mobile app is the companion to your dashboard at app.punchrescue.com and is available on iOS and Android. It gives administrators and responders access to emergency notifications, live device monitoring, system management, and hardware provisioning — all from their phone.

Downloading the app

Search for Rescue by Punch Rescue in the Apple App Store and download the app. The app is not currently available for Android devices.

Log in with the same email and password you use at app.punchrescue.com. There is no separate login for the mobile app. If you have not set your password yet, check your email for an invitation from Punch Rescue, or go to app.punchrescue.com, click Forgot Password, and a reset link will be sent to your inbox.

What you can do in the app

  • Home page — the same four status tiles as the web dashboard: active emergencies, offline devices, low battery devices, and Card assignment status
  • Devices page — full device list with online/offline status, battery levels, signal strength, and last heartbeat
  • Emergencies — receive, view, and respond to active emergency alerts in real time
  • Multiple locations — if your organization manages more than one facility, toggle between them using the location selector at the top of the app
  • Profile — view and edit your name, email, and phone number; change your password; log out

Administrators also use the app to provision Repeaters during initial setup and to assign Cards to staff members via BLE or QR Connect. See the articles "Provisioning Repeaters via the App" and "Assigning Cards to Staff" for step-by-step instructions.

Keeping your phone number current

The phone number saved in your Rescue profile is where SMS emergency notifications and monitoring alerts are delivered. If that number cannot receive text messages — a landline, desk extension, or office main line — you will miss the SMS entirely.

To update your phone number: open the app, tap your profile icon, and edit your phone number. Or go to app.punchrescue.com > Users, click your name, and update it there.

Always use a personal mobile number that you carry during your shift. This applies to every staff member assigned the Responder role.
