Editing Your Building's Map

Editing Your Building's Map

The Map page displays a live 3D model of your facility with every device plotted at its real location (Admins have the option to turn off live location tracking for privacy concerns). Cards update in real time as staff move through the building. During an emergency, the map shows exactly where the triggering Card is located with room-level accuracy.

What the map shows

  • Base Station location — pinned to its mounted position.

  • Repeater locations — pinned to their installed outlet positions.

  • Card locations — updated in real time as staff move through the building.

Searching for devices

Use the search bar at the top of the Map page to locate any device by name. The map centers on and highlights it.

Adding safety assets

Pin safety-critical assets to the map so responders have full situational awareness during an incident: AEDs, fire extinguishers, first aid kits, fire hoses, eyewash stations. Click Place Asset, select the type, and click its physical location on the map.

Editing the floor plan

To edit the underlying 3D building model to add rooms, rename zones, or upload a new floor plan, click the MappedIn Edit button on the Map page. This opens the MappedIn map editor where structural changes are made. Contact support@punchrescue.com if you would like assistance editing your map.

Tip: Keep your map current. If your facility layout changes or hardware is moved, update the map so responders and 911 dispatch always have accurate location data.
